School History
Ours, Kamarajar Memorial English High School, comprising the Pre-primary and the Primary (Eng and Tamil medium) with around 2700 students of Dharavi has been a centre of educational excellence since 1978 under the highly motivated management of Dakshina Mara Nadar Sangam Tirunelveli Mumbai Branch established in 1961 for the upliftment of socially and economically under-privileged section of people by spreading the light of knowledge.
We are proud to state that ours is the only institution in and around Dharavi with five storied building with state of the art computercum Audio-Visual Lab and fully equipped ultra modern Science Lab.
The constant and consistent academic performance our students in SSC Examinations consign our school to the highest pedestal in and around Dharavi. With intent to meet the much awaited aspiration of hundreds and thousands of students of Dharavi we have decided to start Jr.College from academic year 2010-2011.
We face so much financial constraint as our school does not get grant in any form from our Govt. to meet the expenditures of salary of our employees and maintenance of our School Computer and Science Lab Less fees and better quality education is what attracts the students to flock our institution resulting in further financial problem to run the school. Besides these expenditures will reach in high proportion as we have to construct the 6th and 7th floor to accommodated Jr. College.
